The standard-issue eyewear of the Swiss Police SWAT teams, this interchangeable lens model offers the largest field of vision of any Numa model. Large lenses offer optimal eye protection from wind, dust and debris. Rubberized temple pads prevent slippage. Venting between frame and top of lens creates airflow and prevents fogging.
• Fit: Medium to large faces
- Numa frames have a matte-finish, to minimize glint and reflective surfaces; and frame colors in natural earth tones, factory-matched to US MILSPEC standards, to help the wearer blend into forest, desert, urban or alpine environments. Frames are constructed from our unique Swiss Material ™, and are engineered to be highly stable, flexible and lightweight, to provide ultimate comfort. Key features of Numa frames are rubberized nose and/or temple pads to prevent slippage; a tight “wrap,” to protect against wind, dust and debris; venting between lens and frame on “extreme wrap” models to prevent fogging; and reinforced hinges and nose-bridge for durability. A pair of frames with lenses in place weighs only 23 to 26 grams (0.81 to 0.92 oz.; weight differs by style) - so light that you hardly feel you’re wearing them!
Numa Tactical is dedicated to providing the highest quality eyewear for its customers: military, police, hunters, hikers, climbers, fishermen and outdoorsmen. We achieve this goal through an uncompromising focus on design, materials, quality control and customer service. We settle for nothing less than the very best in optical technology for our lenses; and lightweight, durable toughness for our frames.
Numa Tactical derives its excellence from the core strengths and complementary backgrounds of its founding team. Our team represents Swiss technological innovation, precision engineering & manufacturing; Israeli military experience; and American customer service and product development. Your satisfaction is our priority, and every frame is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Numa’s Origins In 2002, a Swiss athlete who had broken one too many pairs of sunglasses decided to hunt for a super-lightweight, flexible-yet-sturdy fiber which could be used to make a sunglass frame that could withstand use and abuse by an outdoorsy, rugged individual. He found what he was looking for in a laboratory in his native Switzerland, gathered a team of top European optical engineers and manufacturers and created a new line of super-tough, high-quality sunglasses.
The “toughest eyewear out there” was soon discovered by the Swiss military, and has since become standard issue for Swiss Police SWAT teams. Over the past three years, our product has been field-tested by Swiss SWAT, as well as countless skiers, extreme sportsmen and outdoorsmen. In the summer of 2005, the Swiss group recruited a former Israeli Recon Sniper-Scout and an American product development group to develop the tactical and sportsman’s line you see here, Numa Tactical.
